Noumory Sidibé announced that after Anyama, work is underway in other localities, including Sassandra, to resolve electricity issues.
In the commune of Anyama, several new neighborhoods — including Belleville 3, Lycée Jeune Fille, Berthé, Médine, and Dubaï — are now connected to the national electricity grid thanks to the construction by CI-Energies of the 225/33 kV Abobo-Anyama substation, along with the restructuring of the medium-voltage (HTA) network.
The Director General of CI-Energies, Noumory Sidibé, and the Mayor of Anyama, Fatima Bamba, visited the new substation and several beneficiary neighborhoods on Monday, October 6, 2025, to assess the reliability and efficiency of the power supply.
“This Anyama substation, which is under construction and nearing completion, is a key part of our network development strategy. Similar to what we did in Duékoué a few months ago, and with ongoing projects in the Folon region, we have now launched works in the commune of Anyama to relieve residents. The goal is to address voltage drops, improve power quality, and provide electricity to new neighborhoods,” explained Noumory Sidibé.
He added that after Anyama, similar projects are being carried out in other areas such as Sassandra to tackle electricity supply challenges.
For her part, Mayor Fatima Bamba expressed her gratitude to the President of the Republic and the government:
“I think that for the past three or four months, we have really been relieved in Anyama. On behalf of the Municipal Council and the people of Anyama, I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Head of State for the tremendous work done for us here. We are now far from our previous problems. Today, we have a 24-hour power supply. The electricity issue is behind us. We are moving forward, as the President says, toward development, peace, and stability,” she stated.
Soungalo Koné, a community leader from Belleville René Extension 3, also expressed his satisfaction at finally having access to electricity:
“It’s a huge relief for us. We thank President Alassane Ouattara. Thanks to the government, our neighborhood is now electrified. Nighttime insecurity will decrease, since we couldn’t even go out after 6 p.m. before. Our economic activities will also thrive.”
